The motivation for this article is the blog written by Jack Brewer
regarding Leah Haley's statements about alien abduction. There is no
place in the blog where Leah states she is only referring to
experiences in her own life. The statements she makes are hurtful,
dismissive, and show a total lack of compassion for abductees such
as myself who have been through some horrendous things in their
lives.
This article is dedicated to alien abductees like me. I hope that
people who read this who are not abductees take a moment to reflect
on what is written here. This affects us all. I would like to start
with an analogy and to explain in the briefest way I can to help you
understand what it's been like for me.
I've had alien experiences for my entire life. When I was a child, I
buried them. I couldn't accept them. I couldn't understand them. As
I grew up, I continued what I had learned about how to handle these
events. I buried these experiences the best I could. There came a
time in my life when these Beings decided to change all that.
The character
Neo in the movie
The Matrix had a choice. Take
the blue pill and everything remains the same. Or take the red pill
and see what reality really is. Neo had a choice. I did not. These
alien Beings intensified my conscious experiences over the years.
They forced the red pill on me instead of giving me a choice. I
still tried to explain everything away and bury the experiences. It
was not the written word that convinced me I was an alien abductee.
UFO books and hypnosis had nothing to do with it. It was them.
It took them six years to break me. My reality shattered and like
Neo, I was flushed down the tube and dumped into sludge. Nothing
would ever be the same. I saw everything differently. My interests
changed. I had to relearn how to get through the day. I had to
figure out how to put reality back together again. It was agony.
Unlike Neo, there was no Nebuchadnezzar to lift me up out of the
sludge when I was flushed down the tube after my reality shattered.
There was no crew of people to help me cope with this new reality.
No one to nurse my body and mind back to health. No one to explain
this new reality and what it means. I had to sink or swim on my own.
There was no going back. UFOs and the Beings who pilot them are
real. My old reality was forever gone. I could never live the old
way again. I was in shock for a long time. My conscious experiences
continue to this day and I've learned a great deal about these
Beings and myself.
I feel a lot of people like me are alone. We suffer in ways others
can't imagine. We don't write blogs, books, produce podcasts, or
speak at conferences. We have very little in the way of support. A
few of us may be lucky to have less than a handful of people we can
talk to.
"It Doesn't Happen"
Leah Haley has claimed to be an alien abductee for decades. She has
spoken at many
conferences, written several books
on the subject, and has done
countless
interviews. The title of
Jack Brewer's blog is Leah Haley on Alien Abduction: "It doesn't
happen." The title doesn't say Alien Abduction: "It never
happened to me." I expect the Susan Clancys of the world to write
nonsense about alien abduction. I expect newscasters to do their
sneering giggles when they try to report a UFO story on the news.
They're ignorant and they are road kill. But to have a
self-proclaimed high profile abductee publish these kinds of hurtful
statements, I had to address this. She does not speak for me.
Now Leah states that alien abductions don't happen and it's all a
result of human technology. Astounding! This statement tells me a
lot about her. She doesn't know much about alien abductions. As to
the statement, "I really can explain every alien abduction away
using human technology," where are these FOIA and U.S. Patent
Office documents she mentions? If the U.S. military had alien
technology, they would have sucked Bin Laden out through his bedroom
window and not risked one of the military's new top of the line
stealth helicopters to be handed over to the Chinese.
How can Leah Haley comment on "legitimate" reports of abduction when
she admits she's never had one! She talks about finding humans in
abductions and that means that abductions are human-instigated
events. This shows a real ignorance of what can happen during an
alien abduction. I have seen many Beings who looked human. The thing
is, the more time you spend with them and look at them, there is
something a little "off" about them. Especially around the eyes.
They can also do things a human can't do. Alien Beings can make you
think your significant other is with you during an abduction to keep
more control over you. They use images of celebrities sometimes.
Once the alien Beings had me perform a procedure on a male abductee.
I was so afraid I was going to hurt him. It was awful, but they made
me do it. If he remembered me, he would describe me as fully human.
Then there are actual humans. Yes, they're human; they are other
abductees. So is it surprising that abductees report humans
along with alien Beings? Not to me it isn't.
Human Instigated Mind Control
The
Brewer blog praises Leah Haley as
someone who "provides us with a refreshingly transparent view of
the path of an experience of high strangeness who embarked upon a
sincere journey of investigation and self-discovery." He
continues by stating "It is only natural that such a journey
included evolving perspectives, changing over time, and it appears
Haley happens to be secure enough to tell us when she changes her
mind."
Secure enough to change her mind? How dare she claim she can tell
what is a legitimate abduction account after asserting alien
abduction doesn't happen! No wonder she can "change her
mind!" The comments that she's sincere, an experiencer, that she's
evolving her perspectives that change over time, are beyond belief.
I don't have the luxury of getting my old reality back. They (alien
Beings) took it from me. Haley's perspectives on alien abduction are
not mine. This is not a game. This is not a club you can join and
decide when you want to quit. I wonder what her motives were in the
first place Attention? Celebrity? Book sales?
Leah says she has spent, and I quote, "...thousands and thousands
and thousands of dollars and years and years and years of research
trying to find evidence that alien abductions occurred, the only
evidence I found is of human-instigated mind control."
This doesn't impress me at all. I don't have the luxury of saying it
never happened. It's so absurd it's beyond comprehension. I'll never
forget the things they did to me as a child and as I got older, the
trauma and abuse over the decades. These were not the result of mind
control experiments. To say that alien abductions are the result of
mind control experiences is hurtful to me personally as someone who
has suffered with having to cope with alien abductions all of my
life. This idiotic, childish statement negates all that I have been
through. I struggle everyday with the consequences of what I have
experienced. Does "mind control experiments" explain all the
physical, mental, and emotional hell I have been through? The
medical problems and the physical injuries? No it doesn't! I have
spent countless dollars on medical tests, specialists, therapists,
and documenting what has happened to me. This has disrupted my life
in so many ways. It was Leah's choice to spend money on her research
and conferences. I spent my money on survival.
What exactly is accepting alien abduction at face value? As to
Haley's comment, "Very few of us have ever questioned it to the
extent that you and I obviously have..." this just makes no
sense to me at all. When my reality shattered, I had more questions
than I could tell you. It was endless. I rolled it all in my head
until I was literally wanting to climb the walls. It's such a
painful process. These comments about taking abduction at "face
value" show a real lack of comprehension of what it takes to put
your life back together again when you are an abductee. I've never
accepted alien abduction at "face value" in my life. It took a lot
of pressure from these Beings to force me to accept what was
happening to me.
Electromagnetic Fields
Then there are the comments on overexposure to EMFs or
Electromagnetic Fields: "Overexposure to EMFs was documented to
cause hallucinations, nausea, short term amnesia (missing time) and
reddened skin, circumstances which became staples of abductee
testimonies."
So hallucinations are a staple of abductee testimony? This sounds
like a classic debunker theory to me. Hallucinations? So abductees
are just hallucinating? EMFs can't even begin to explain anything
about alien abduction. Haley says she has no concrete evidence of
aliens. So she's never seen them, interacted with them, suffered any
lasting emotional, mental, or physical effects? I could go on but
what would be the point? She's not demonstrated that she understands
anything about alien abductions at all.
I'm confident I would have had plenty of "concrete evidence" of
alien abduction if I had a specialized facility to go to after an
abduction. I know there has been a lot of physical evidence over the
years. But there is no facility of specialists to gather evidence
and treat abductees. There is no help for us. We are on our own. But
it seems it is always our fault that we don't have the concrete
evidence in our hands. We abductees are our own individual team of
investigators, forensic scientists, and medical doctors, and we take
samples on our own and run all of the tests. And where exactly do we
take this material if we have it?
Hovering Helicopter
Leah talks about her husband observing a helicopter hovering within
100 feet of their house while she was having abduction-like visions,
non-ordinary states of consciousness and the sensation of hearing
voices in her head with paralysis. Many abductees including myself
have had military harassment off and on. I have had
helicopters hover and circle around my house
at extremely low altitudes but I have never felt anything but fear
and anger. I never hallucinated or had visions of any kind. I would
call my husband and take photographs. I never got sick from the
harassment. They eventually moved on and left me alone. I fight back
any way I can when this happens. It's just intimidation. I wonder
what Leah Haley's abduction-like visions were actually like since
she admits she never had an alien abduction? And, where are the
photographs of the helicopter that was hovering just 100 feet from
her house? If a few helicopters scare her to the point of
hallucinations, I wonder what a real alien abduction would do? I
think I know the answer to that.
Leah Haley's comments regarding compassion and responsibility are
offensive and gross to me as someone who has survived alien
abduction for my entire life. I live the pain of constant denial
from society as a whole. There are a many people in the UFO
community who don't believe in alien abductions either. I see words
all the time like alien abduction
dogma as mentioned in Brewer's and the orangeorb blog
about Leah Haley and
alien abduction mythology.
Here
are the definitions of these terms:
Dogma
1. an official system of
principles or tenets concerning faith, morals, behavior, etc.,
as of a church. Synonyms: doctrine, teachings,
set of
beliefs, philosophy.
2. a specific tenet or
doctrine authoritatively laid down, as by a church: the dogma
of the Assumption; the recently defined dogma of papal
infallibility. Synonyms: tenet, canon, law.
3. prescribed doctrine
proclaimed as unquestionably true by a particular group: the
difficulty of resisting political dogma.
4. a settled or established
opinion, belief, or principle: the classic dogma of
objectivity in scientific
observation. Synonyms:
conviction, certainty.
Myth
1. a traditional
or legendary story, usually concerning some Being or hero or
event, with or without a determinable basis of fact or a natural
explanation, especially one that is concerned with deities or
demigods and explains some practice, rite, or phenomenon of
nature.
2.
stories
or matter of this kind: realm of myth.
3.
any
invented story, idea, or concept: His account of the event is
pure myth.
4.
an
imaginary or fictitious thing or person.
5.
an
unproved or false collective belief that is used to justify a
social institution.
Alien abduction is not dogma or mythology to me. I and others have
suffered so much trauma, lack of acceptance, and dismissal
throughout our lives. This has affected every single aspect of my
life. Alien abduction is not a church, it is not imaginary,
fictitious, a false collective belief, myth or any of these things.
"No Alien Abductions Ever Took Place"
Leah Haley has made it clear she never was an alien abductee. I
would tell Leah this:
"Yes Leah, there
are indeed aliens in alien abduction. I am relieved for you that
you never had to experience what we abductees have. I can
guarantee that if you were an alien abductee, you would never
have made the comments that you made in this blog written by
Jack Brewer. Take some responsibility for your actions by
pulling all of your alien abduction books off the market
immediately. Especially the book you wrote for children.
Don't take part in the continued abuse suffered by children from
these alien Beings. Do the right thing and show some compassion."
Leah Haley should not make money off the backs of real abductees who
struggle every day to try and get through the day as normally as
possible.
I want to leave a few words for the people who understand the issues
I have talked about in this article. I hope I have spoken to topics
that have affected you as deeply as they did me. There's not much we
can do against the tide of alien abduction debunking going on within
the UFO community other than to support each other and offer words
of comfort when we can. Sometimes we have to stand up and fight for
our stories, our reality, and our voices to be heard. We have
passion for the truth, compassion for what we have endured, and a
responsibility to tell it. Good luck to all of you.

A Special Note about Jack
Brewer's Idea of Circumstantial Evidence:
In the Brewer blog, neither Leah Haley nor Jack
Brewer provided the names or any references to the FOIA and U.S.
Patent documents to which they referred to as their evidence.
However, Brewer did go as far as to include a photograph of the "UFO
House" on Pensacola Beach, as one of his first items under the
subheading "Circumstantial Evidence."
Brewer's caption under the photograph states: "The
UFO House of Pensacola Beach serves as an eerie reminder of the Gulf
Breeze UFO craze that snowballed into a frenzy."
The "UFO House of Pensacola Beach" had
absolutely nothing to do with the "Gulf Breeze craze"
to which Jack Brewer referred. According to Zillow and other public
records for the area, the "UFO House" was built in 1966 - twenty-one
years prior to the
Gulf Breeze Sightings. Furthermore:
"The UFO house in Pensacola is said to have
been made because of aliens and what not. But the truth is the
structure is built like a UFO to lift up and float if the area
is ever flooded out -- hit by a bad rainstorm, or more likely a
hurricane. I just wanted people to know that. The aliens are put
up in the windows out of humor. But still the house is very
interesting. I know this because I live here.
