This article is about the abduction of Betty and Barney Hill, the star map that Betty Hill drew, and the Zeta Reticuli version of the star map that was created by Marjorie Fish. Ms. Fish was a third grade elementary school teacher who made a valiant attempt to break the secrets of a star map that was shown to Betty Hill during her encounter by what she described as an alien doctor. She was shown the star map after she asked him a straightforward question: “Where do you come from?”
My qualifications stem from my years of study as a lay scientist. I also have extensive knowledge pertaining to the Betty and Barney Hill abduction case and Marjorie Fish’s ZR [Zeta Reticuli] interpretation of her star map. I also wrote an in-depth book on this subject titled Set Your Phaser to Stun that was released in 2011 on the 50th Anniversary of the abduction of Betty and Barney Hill.
I’ve seen and read many internet websites covering Fish’s Zeta Reticuli interpretation and articles featuring decade’s old information... My goal is to update people on her theory. The abduction account of Betty and Barney Hill is quite extensive. If you are unfamiliar with it, I recommend that you read John Fuller’s book, The Interrupted Journey-Two Lost Hours Aboard a Flying Saucer.
The age of Zeta Reticuli is now believed to be two billion years, too young to have sentient life....Today Marjorie Fish’s Zeta Reticuli Interpretation is a badly outdated theory that has failed to garner the support of the scientific community. While her theory is still very popular within the UFO community.... There has been no confirmation of alien contact that can be shown to be a direct result of her theories, announcement or subsequent promotion over the last 44 years. Lastly, the progress in astronomy has wreaked havoc on her selection of candidate stars as they were discovered to be binary and variable type stars. No Planets have been found to exist.

Abundance Trend with Condensation Temperature for Stars with different Galactic Birth Places
V. Adibekyan, E. Delgado-Mena, P. Fgueira, S.G. Sousa, N.C. Santos, J.I. Gonzalez Hernandez, I. Minchev, J.P. Faria, G. Israelian, G. Harutyunyan, L. Suarez-Andres, A. A. Hakobyan (Submitted on 15 Jun 2016)
“During the past decade, several studies reported a correlation between chemical abundances of stars and condensation temperature (also known as Tc trend). However, the real astrophysical nature of this correlation is still debated. The main goal of this work is to explore the possible dependence of the Tc trend on stellar Galactocentric distances, Rmean. We used high-quality spectra of about 40 stars observed with the HARPS and UVES spectrographs to derive precise stellar parameters, chemical abundances, and stellar ages. A differential line-by-line analysis was applied to achieve the highest possible precision in the chemical abundances. We confirm previous results that [X/Fe] abundance ratios depend on stellar age and that for a given age, some elements also show a dependence on Rmean. When using the whole sample of stars, we observe a weak hint that the Tc trend depends on Rmean. The observed dependence is very complex and disappears when only stars with similar ages are considered. To conclude on the possible dependence of the Tc trend on the formation place of stars, a larger sample of stars with very similar atmospheric parameters and stellar ages observed at different Galactocentric distances is needed.” Source
Stars with and without planets:
Where do they come from?
“A long and thorough investigation of chemical abundances of planet-hosting stars that lasted for more than a decade has finally yielded its fruits. An international team of astronomers from CAUP and IAC found that the chemical ‘peculiarities’ (small refractory-to-volatile ratio) of planet-hosting stars is merely a reflection of their old age and their inner Galaxy origin. The authors reached a conclusion that stellar age and probable Galactic birth place are key to establish the abundances of some specific elements...” Source
“...Summarizing all the findings brings two interesting conclusions:
i) The solar analogues with planets in the solar neighborhood mostly come from the inner Galaxy (because of still unknown reasons) and,
ii) The age and galactic birth place are factors responsible for the abundance ratio of refractory to volatile elements in the stars.” Source
