MANTIS Being Speaks of DARPA

On Christmas Eve 2009, I was sleeping restlessly between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. At approximately three o’clock in the morning, I heard the sound of a helicopter. I immediately got out of bed and went to the window. I waited a few seconds and saw what I thought was a helicopter, fly directly over our house and backyard. All I really saw were two large spotlights on the bottom of something overhead. They were flush-mounted, which I thought was unusual, and they were very bright and pointed downward. I had to squint for a moment while it passed overhead because the lights were so bright. During this entire time, my husband lay sleeping soundly in bed even though there was a very loud helicopter flying overhead.

The next thing I knew, there were three Beings in my bedroom: two male hybrids and one female hybrid. I am not publishing this part of the encounter because it does not offer any information that would aid in the interpretation of this experience. Overall, their presence and actions were merely to distract me with their false theatrics, which they sometimes do. I was aware that their intentions were to keep my mind focused on them instead of something else that was occurring, which most likely involved the “helicopter,” i.e., the “sound” and the “lights.”

Mantis Being

My next memory was being outside in our enclosed courtyard, which was 1000 square feet with a two-story wall on two sides and a 20 foot wall on the other two sides. In other words, it was very private and safe.

I noticed a baby praying mantis insect on a branch of sage and I gently broke the limb of the plant off. I took the tiny insect to another area where I thought it would be safer and I placed the branch with the tiny praying mantis there. I then realized there was another praying mantis a short distance away, but this one was about a foot tall. As I studied it I saw that it had very small teeth and although I was aware that Earth insect praying mantises have mandibles and not teeth, I was still worried that this larger insect would eat the baby insect, so I had to relocate it as well.

Readers will automatic think “STOP” at this point. Praying mantis insects do not grow to be a foot tall! And, they would be correct. This is the point of Contact where I’m certain the Beings had entered into, and possibly created a pocket of their world within our 1000 square foot courtyard.

As I began to move toward the larger praying mantis, everything about the mantis changed. I saw its face, then its eyes, and then I realized it was really a human-sized Mantis Being.

This is an example of what I term camouflage and what others sometimes refer to as a screen image: an ET appearing as a one foot tall praying mantis insect. Then - transforming into a full sized Mantis Being. I understood this behavior well: this was the Mantis providing a gradual introduction of him to me so as not to frighten me.

The Mantis was now standing right next to me and I sensed he was male. I was not afraid of him at all. He stood taller than I, and as I studied him, he began to appear almost human; again, acclimating me to his presence. As I studied his face I could still detect the bony ridge around his eyes, but he continued to use camouflage to make himself appear much more human than he really was. So, at times I saw him as a Mantis Being and at other times I would see him as being more human, but still not fully human.

I began to talk to the Mantis Being and he responded to me. We had a somewhat in-depth conversation which was incredibly rare as far as these Beings are concerned. Everything I asked him, he responded to. I spoke to him and he spoke back to me (telepathically) in perfect English. I said,

“I didn’t know you could talk.”

He replied,

“We are not normally given the opportunity by humans to say much of anything.”

I then asked him several questions and I was amazed that he answered each of my questions. I asked,

“Who is causing the abductions? Who is financially responsible here on Earth for the abduction of so many humans? Who is backing the abductions?”

He replied,


“There are several private organizations and one government organization.”

He said DARPA was the government organization that was either abducting people or was funding the abductions.

He gave me two or three other names relating to these types of abductions, but I have not been able to fully remember them. My gut told me two of them, but I’m not sure if I remembered correctly. I know today, from experiences I have had since that time, that an agency Lockheed Martin is associated with is one of the groups involved in re-abducting certain Experiencers. [1]

Immediately after he told me about the corporations involved with certain Abductees and Experiencers, I noticed that the space around me suddenly morphed a bit to include a desk with a computer on top of it, and as odd as this may sound, the Mantis Being then gave me a URL - he said - colloquially,

“I want you to visit this blogger’s site.”

I looked at the “computer” and when the URL was entered a page came up on the screen and I seemed to know who or what it was all about. I am certain that much more information was given to me than I can currently remember which is unfortunate. It was as if a telepathic download of information occurred, but I could only consciously remember bits and pieces of it. The name associated with the URL was “Boyce.” (This would turn out to be an important lead regarding the end result of this encounter.)

Then I saw the information on the screen and I read “Boyce Zoo.” I believe this was another search lead that appeared on the screen under the term “Boyce.”

Suddenly, my surroundings changed again and I found myself with a female with dark skin. We were in a city and standing outside of the City’s Zoo. She looked at me and said,

“You have come full circle…It was always about taking care of the animals. That is what is important and why you are here in the first place.”

When she said this, I felt overjoyed to the point of almost crying. It was as if an epiphany had occurred. I interpreted her meaning to be that my husband and I, and other humans, are here on Earth because our job is to care for the animals here. She “took me to the City Zoo” as a means to relay what she meant by “the animals.”

We - and all humans - are supposed to protect animals (and their environment - Earth) and care for them, which we have tried to do where ever we have lived. For a few brief moments I relived so many times during my life involving saving and helping animals - so many memories flashed through my mind…. And she read my thoughts as I relived those memories.

Then…my attention was turned to something else entirely.

“They think they are gods…”

My surroundings morphed again and I saw a man dressed in militaristic clothing walk out on a stage that I was standing on as well. This seemed rather theatrical, but the Being wanted to make a point. He was lecturing a crowd of people and he said, in a very forceful voice:

“There are great dangers in placing beings who perceive themselves as being superior to other life forms on the same planet with them…this leads to chaos and destruction.”

I felt strongly that he was referring to humans and the way they treat the other life forms on our planet. He was very angry and he was lecturing about how dangerous and destructive humans are to the other life forms on Earth. The last thing I remember him saying was,

“They think they are gods to other life forms and this should never be allowed!”

The emotions I felt from him were very strong and his message was quite clear, perhaps because it was telepathic and during this type of communication, much more information can be transferred than can be done by simple vocal language. The last words or thoughts I received were as follows:

“Our actions are completely unacceptable and their species is going to put an end to our behavior. They are planning to make us pay for the way we have treated the other species with whom we share our planet.”

It is important to note that this Mantis Being used the term “placed” when referring to humans, as in, we were placed here by someone or something. I find this statement very intriguing. One interpretation about what he said is that humans do not “belong” here or since we were “placed” here, we are not indigenous to planet Earth. Although these were my last thoughts and memories I had about this encounter at that time; several years would pass, and due to subsequent experiences I had, I would revisit this Mantis encounter some 16 years later.

Part II

 “The alien was saying that their technology had been taken from them. Our government had manipulated the aliens into believing they would use the technology to help mankind, but instead, they used it for their own purposes. It was out of control…”

The Connection between DARPA, Boyce and Cornell University

During my original 2009 searches on the word Boyce, I found Boyce Thompson Institute for Plant Research. The image to the right is similar to the building I saw when I was standing outside of the “City Zoo” when I was with the female Being who had dark skin. It is also similar to what I saw on the computer screen.

The Boyce Thompson Institute for Plant Research mission statement is:

“To advance and communicate scientific knowledge in plant biology to improve agriculture, protect the environment, and enhance human health.”

After perusing this site, I thought this might be what the search results were referring to. I think I may understand why these Beings are concerned considering some of our advances in plant genetics.

I decided to search the Boyce Thompson Institute for Plant Research’s site and enter in the acronym DARPA and I found some very interesting projects they have funded. I also searched DARPA’s website and found a program titled MANTIS, and while perhaps not relevant, it was an interesting happenstance in light of the fact that a Mantis Being relayed this information to me.

DARPA’s “Insect Allies”

One day out of the blue, I decided to perform another search on the terms “DARPA” and “Boyce.” I finally found the answer I was searching for 16 years earlier. THIS is why the Mantis Being was so adamant in 2009 about humans thinking of themselves as “gods.” DARPA has allegedly successfully weaponized insects as new bioweapons!

In 2009, the Mantis Beings already knew what DARPA was planning even though, according to DARPA, their program which they innocuously called “Insect Allies” did not actually begin until 2016. The Mantis Beings tried to warn me about DARPA’s insect experiments in 2009 and also relayed their deep anger and a warning about humans “playing god” with the other life forms on our planet.

Clandestine after so Many Decades

I know many people wonder why NHI or ET Beings cloak their messages of concern with clandestine visits shrouded in otherworldly strangeness such as camouflage, theatrical messages, visions and teaching experiences. I’ve always believed this is necessary in order to communicate with us. I received a lot of information immediately from the Mantis, but almost immediately after I was given the information, I could not retain it all on a conscious level. It was only after the demonstrations via morphing visual imagery and “theatrics” that I was able to retain the information.

Perhaps this was another lesson to me, as an individual Experiencer, that they do, in fact, tell the truth and they do appear to know things that 99% of the public would never know unless people like us tell others what we know. Maybe their message or knowledge has to come via Experiencers to other humans because most humans would be too afraid to open themselves up to receiving ET-NHI information; because they were not “raised” in close proximity to the Beings as we have been.

Once again, we are being shown that Contact Experiencers are indeed liaisons or “ambassadors” of information transfer between NHI, ETs and Humanity in general. Additionally, it’s not as if our Government or the Pentagon or other unelected officials, are going to tell the Citizenry any of this. They have had roughly 80 years to do that and they chose a different path. In my opinion and probably everyone else intimately involved in this; those “leaders” and unelected officials chose wrongly and they will have to face the consequences of their inaction. The consequences for them will be very personal and will come at a time when they least expect it. I know this because I’ve watched how this phenomenon operates.

In the end, probably the most reliable information about this subject has always come, and will continue to come from those with access to, and direct experience with, the Beings: Contact Experiencers.

Seeing Through Time

We all want the World’s food crops to be protected and to thrive, but when do the protective mechanisms of the humans in charge, become too much or a “mistake” for others who share our planet? In 2009, the Mantis Beings were already accusing humans of playing “god” with the plant and animal life on our planet. Interestingly, according to what I could locate on the Internet, DARPA’s insect bioengineering experiments didn’t “officially” begin until 2016, although they were seeking researchers and promising grant money in 2013; and remember, this Mantis Being was relaying how they felt about this to me in 2009, so they already knew what was in the minds of the scientists involved. They have most likely already seen the outcome of our ways which is why they can project to us the cataclysmic scenes of what is in store for our planet if humanity does not soon change our behavior.

When their “Insect Allies” research concluded, DARPA did not publish the results or provide links on their website to where their results could be read by all the little people who paid their salaries. One has to know what they are searching for prior to performing a search. You have to work backward from DARPA to find out who they provided grant money to and what the research was for. I wouldn’t have known where to begin had the Mantis not given me the names “DARPA” and “Boyce.”

It took several searches, but I finally came across a research paper on the potential aftermath of DARPA’s “Insect Allies” experiments. Low and behold, “Insect Allies” was renamed “Horizontal Environmental Genetic Alteration Agents” (HEGAA). Do you see the term “insects” being used in that anywhere? Just try submitting a FOIA on this subject without knowing the meaning of that acronym and that it is really “Insect Allies.”

In 2025, DARPA began yet another series of studies, i.e., giving out grants – money from the American Taxpayers – to once again bioengineer insects under the same research experiment name, “Insect Allies.” As I edit this for publication, DARPA has already closed inquiry and information distribution into this stage of the study.

In a preceding paragraph, I wrote, “DARPA has allegedly successfully weaponized insects as new bioweapons.” I used the term “allegedly” because they haven’t made their findings public per se, but they were successful enough to freak out a lot of scientists which led to similar headlines in several major news outlets and on the Internet. The Invisible War

I believe the Mantis Being was telling me the truth about DARPA’s involvement in funding via MILABs, RE-ABs and other black-ops related to Abductees and Experiencers.

These activities are well documented and you can learn about them by reading our article “MILABs” and Melinda Leslie’s article “RE-ABs.” Dr. Karla Turner’s and Leah Haley’s books and others, also cover MILAB and RE-AB activities. Also, pay close attention to the ex-military whistleblowers’ testimony that has been made public, especially from 2023 onward. Read their public statements published in the Congressional Record and follow their journey. Their own military/Pentagon – who they spent their careers serving – has thrown most of them under the proverbial bus. What do you think they can - and do - to civilians – to Contact Experiencers who speak out?

Anything they want.

We are invisible to Congress. All they want is lights in the sky. We are invisible to the Disclosure movement. All they want are sightings reported by ex-military personnel.

Contact Experiencers keep speaking out, writing, going on “Experiencer” podcasts… not for them, but for those in the public who are ready for the truth. One of those Truths is: NHI does not pose a threat to anyone on this planet except those humans in power who betrayed NHI by keeping lifesaving technology and other knowledge from Humanity.

Consider this journal entry I published in my second book in 1994:

“As I learned this information, I felt I was being taught by the aliens. I felt from them, or at least the alien who was giving me this information; that the aliens did not agree with what our government was doing. They feel our government’s actions are wrong and cruel. The alien was saying that their technology had been taken from them. Our government had manipulated the aliens into believing they would use the technology to help mankind, but instead, they used it for their own purposes. It was out of control. It was beyond the aliens’ control to stop the government without our help….” [2]

Final Thoughts

The longer the current push for Disclosure drags out, the higher the probability the truth is being supplanted and usurped. In watching this latest version of Disclosure playing out, I have to wonder. Do people want Disclosure to occur? Or do they want the Truth to be told?

Controlled disclosure is not Disclosure;

Truth is liberating, not “catastrophic.”

Cornell University and the Arecibo Observatory: CU also works closely with DARPA and beginning in 1959 with a signed contract with ARPA (predecessor to DARPA) they conducted development studies for a large scale ionospheric radar probe and how such a probe would serve radio-astronomy. Arecibo remained the largest dish telescope in the world until 2016 when it literally collapsed and was surpassed by the Chinese dish telescope that same year.

Cornell University’s Insect Collection is a world-class research and training collection that includes over 7 million insect specimens representing about 20% of the World’s described insect fauna.

Penn State is also a contributor to the “Insect Allies” program, having received $7 million in 2017.

Author’s note: There is no knowing what the outcome will be on our planet if scientists continue to change the genetic structure of a large variety of insects and plants. I can only guess at what the NHI Beings’ knowledge of genetics is, but experience shows me they are vastly superior to us. And, these Beings’ intentions in showing me this information may have been about something going on at this institute that is being kept secret and is, perhaps, not so positive at all.
